Questions
Is the free account really free?
Yes. A Community User account costs nothing, with no trial and no hidden upgrade. The paid profiles exist for people and organizations that want a verified, public-facing presence.
How does billing work for Public and Partner Profiles?
You pay a monthly subscription through the App Store. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store settings. If your subscription lapses, your profile goes back to pending until you renew. You can restore a purchase from the app’s Settings.
I’m a cis ally. Which account should I choose?
Choose Community User and turn on the Ally option when you sign up. Ally accounts get an “Ally” tag and a bumblebee avatar in the Meadow. You can only make this choice once, and you can’t change it later.
I’m a therapist, coach or artist. Should I choose Public or Partner?
If you’re one person sharing your own work, choose a Public Profile. If you represent an organization, a practice with staff, a program or an institution, choose a Partner Profile.
Why can’t Partner accounts use the Meadow?
The Meadow and other peer spaces are for community members to connect with each other. Partners reach the community through the partner directory, offers and resource listings instead.
Can Partners message me?
Only if you message them first. Partner accounts can reply to conversations that members start, but they can’t send you a new message.
Why does every account get reviewed?
TransWell is a private, affirming space. A person on our team reviews each new account before it goes live, which helps keep out people who would cause harm.
